Not so Typical Saturday

Today, I worked from 9 am until 1 pm. I had four classes that were easy. I gave them my monthly test. I hope that they are happy with their scores.

The classes continue to be a wreck. I know its my fault for letting the problems fester but I am still shocked at the problems we have.

There is some animosity towards me from the kids and not only that but I don’t have any control over their behavior at all. They speak Korean and they flat out don’t care what I have to say that would benefit their English speaking abilities. Today they cheated on the test by talking amongst each other. They commented about how red my eyes are, which are unfortunately a problem. Ironically they should enough concern to suggest going to eye doctor or as they said:”hospital” and then they told my boss, Mr. Jung about the situation. He had to come and check out my eyes for himself and once I told him they were ok just worn out from over wear and not enough sleep he let it go.

My boss is an interesting case as pointed out from the last email. I am not doing a good job so I am being punished by always feeling scrutinized and restricted.

After work, I spent my afternoon relaxing and not doing much of anything in particular. I graded some of my tests because I want to get as much work done before Monday as possible. I still feel way behind in my work.

For the evening I went on a walk to the park and enjoyed watching the Waterfalls. I had some ice cream and decided to have a beer for my Saturday night. I regret that because I have quit drinking since being in Korea but I thought a beer would help me sleep. After the beer I had a cappuccino from Baskin Robbins.

I went to bed relatively early last night.

So anyways, another story will quickly follow this one I am sure. I should try to write more but I can't concentrate right now.
