Saturday in Korea. What began as a real hot and humid day turned out to be a wonderful enchanted evening.
I taught my 4 classes all of which I am happy to say went well. I have bad days but then there are some real special days as well. I love the kids so much. Many of them try to teach me korean or give me presents food, drawings etc.
I can't wait until i can be a better teacher. Whatever happens in korea we share. If I have some orange juice and some student walks into the office I give them my orange juice. Yale Academy has a strong community feeling to me.
More about this next.
After teaching Christina and I went to a restuarant and had Kai Bai- barbaqued style pork. It is amazing. In Korea every meal has 4-5 side dishes. You are literally eating a feast meant for kings. In America you wouldn't be able to eat like this and afford it for very long.
We went to a local park/playground and sat and talked for a couple hours. Everything was perfect. We sat and talked about America and Work related things-like our kids. We are going to go hiking tomorrow I am looking forward to going up the Mountain again and seeing the city of Gumi. There is a waterfall up there too, so hopefully if its going to rain it will be tonight so tomorrow we can have a gorgeous day!
I am saving my money for a trip to Taiwan, eventually Japan again, Jeju Island, and many other things. I dont think I will be able to afford all of these especially if I eat out each day. Therefore, I am hoping to create a budget here very soon. I am going to start making lunches too if I can figure out how.
Tomorrow I am going to put my cooking skills to test.
So Saturday in Korea is almost at an end but it was a great day, and I am sure the best is yet to follow....
